The American team headed by J.D. Vance, the vice president of the United States, and about 300 companions arrived in Pakistan before the Iranian team and settled in the embassy of his country in Islamabad.

The Iranian team attended these negotiations with the presence of Abbas Araghchi, the head of the political committee, Abdul Naser Hemmati, the head of the economic committee, Daryaban Ahmadian, the head of the military committee, and Esmail Baqaei, the head of the legal committee.

According to the Defense Press political group , Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Council, upon his arrival in Islamabad and in response to reporters' questions about the recent statements of US Vice President Vance, said: “Unfortunately, our experience of negotiating with the Americans has always been met with failure and breach of agreement. Twice in less than a year, in the middle of negotiations, despite the good intentions of the Iranian side, they attacked us and committed numerous war crimes.”

Qalibaf clarified that during the upcoming negotiations, if the American side is ready to make a real agreement, respecting the rights of the Iranian people, they will see us readily agreeable. However, in the current war, we have shown them that if they want to use negotiations to perform a fruitless show of deception, we are ready to assert our rights with faith in God and relying on the power of our nation.

The number of members of the Iranian delegation present in Islamabad, Pakistan is about 70 people; In addition to the main negotiators, 26 members of technical and specialized committees in the economic, security and political fields are also present in this delegation to provide necessary consultations due to the high sensitivity of the negotiations. Also, 23 media members from different outlets, are present in the delegation. Other members of the delegation are the ceremonial and coordinating teams, translators and the protection team
