Odysee Is Perhaps, A Project Worth Working For.

Build Odysee With Us

Odysee is a community platform, and we believe it should be built by the community too. Whether you're a developer looking to contribute code, a designer with fresh ideas, or a creator who sees possibilities we haven't imagined yet, we'd love you to help us build it. After all, Odysee was created for you which means it needs to be built with what you need.

We're opening up our development process and our code is open source. If you've got skills and ideas, we want to work with you.

Why Contribute?

YouTube wasn't built in a day, and neither was the spirit that once made it great. We're trying to recapture that with Odysee. We want Odysee to be a place where creators actually matter, where good content isn't buried by algorithm games, and where the community has a real say in how things work.

Your code doesn't just fix bugs or add features. It proves what we believe: that a video platform can be built with creators and users, not just for them.

How It Works

  1. Explore our GitHub repositories and make use of our llms.txt file so your coding agents can get a better understanding of our architecture
  2. Choose a task that matches your skills and interests
  3. Contribute by submitting your work for review
  4. Collaborate with our team as we review contributions (we're thorough, so this takes time)

This is about building together, not rushing. Quality contributions take time to review properly, and we're committed to doing it right. Please help us by ensuring you’ve thoroughly tested your work before submitting, or if you need help running any of the changes locally. We’ve also set up a Discord channel to help answer any questions and guide you along.
