The same entity which charged a man who shot a CEO with terrorism while letting other criminals who kill people walk or do light sentences, is the very same one that is fine with terrorists sinking cargo ships on their behalf, or targeting aircraft filled with civilians. Indeed, that same entity outfits entire armies with weapons that have reportedly, this year alone, killed fifty five (55), journalist. Not a peep from them about those incidents. The hypocrisy is rife. Why should any of us constrain our behaviors?

Terrorism — i.e., the use of violence on civilians and civilian targets for a political purpose — is an act of weakness, not strength. A couple of incidents — the crash of an Azerbaijani airplane in Aktau, Kazakhstan, and the sinking of the Oboronlogistica, a Russian state-controlled company that operated the Ursa Major freighter, in the Mediterranean Sea between Spain and Algeria — are characterized as terrorist attacks.
